Racial and Ethnic Impact Statements
JLARC provides racial and ethnic impact statements that review the potential impact on racial and ethnic disparities in the Commonwealth of proposed criminal justice legislation, as required under ยง 30-19.1:13. Racial and ethnic impact statements can be requested by the chair of the House Courts of Justice Committee or the Senate Judiciary Committee. No more than three statements may be requested by each chair for completion during a single General Assembly Session. The JLARC-approved policies and procedures for this service are available here.
